I have been in Boise all my life and am a 4th generation Idahoan, since my family moved here in the early 1900′s. I am a small business owner, struggling to pay the bills, and I understand what it feels like to be uncertain of the future.
Educationally, I have an Associates Degree in Theology with additional credits taken at BSU. Most of my free time is spent reading economic and political literature. I consider myself very well read on those topics, and love nothing more than to discuss it with anyone who is willing to engage. My hobbies mostly center around learning and growing as an individual, and around spending time with my family.
I have been married almost 6 years to my beautiful and sweet wife Lindsey, who works hard to help support our family. Our marriage has been a great blessing in my life, teaching me to be a better man and strive to put her and others first. Lindsey and I are on a personal journey of faith as Christians, pursuing our obligation to love our neighbors and God with all our hearts.
I have had all types of jobs, including construction, sales, retail, food service, and have now been a business owner for about 2 years as a handyman, mover, and painter. I love owning my business and helping people with whatever needs their family may have. It feels good at the end of the day when you have befriended good people and had meaningful discussion with them, as well as helped them practically.
It is worth the struggle of owning my own business to enjoy more flexibility to spend time with my wife, and attend the important events in life. My question for people is, “are you living to work or working to live?” I work to live… and I live to love those around me. Bettering the world in any way is a worthy goal in life, and spurs others to do the same. I firmly believe that one person can make a difference, and I do my best to help those in my life grow mentally, spiritually, and emotionally. I now intend to help people have a better and safer life in a very practical way through advocating freedom and states’ rights from an effective platform.
